Acclaimed Alumni Criteria
The Acclaimed Alumni section recognizes Pirates
who have made major accomplished outside of the athletic world.
Pirates have a long tradition of making outstanding contributions in
many fields... from the Arts to Leadership, to Medicine, to Business, to
the Military and more.
If you know of any other MHS alums who have earned major
recognition after high school, please email
the alumni webmaster.
If possible, please provide links to any articles about the person's
accomplishments/recognition.
Acclaimed alumni must have graduated at least 10 years ago.
We consider any reputable accomplishment, but not every accomplishment
is officially acclaimed. Here are some accomplishments that have
earned Marshfield graduates Acclaimed Alumni status.
Arts - Emmy's, Tony's, Major works of Art on permanent
display
Leadership - Elected Office such as mayor (any city - even North Bend),
city counselor,
county commissioner, state representative.
Education - Department Chair at a University, Teacher of the Year for a
state
Business - Owner/President/Officer of a successful company
Philanthropy - Someone who has shown extraordinary goodwill with their
money
Medicine - Inventor, Peer/Industry/Educational Recognition
Military - Air Force Base Commander
Note: We are particularly interested if you have information about
alumni who graduated prior to 1960. Internet research is difficult to
find for pre-1960 graduates. We don't want to lose our cherished
history
Do you know of someone who has been special to the history and
success of MHS, but is not an alum and you feel deserves recognition?
Please visit our Hall of Fame section. There you will find coaches
and administrators who are not graduates of Marshfield High School, but
are in the Pirate
Hall of Fame, like Bill Borcher - a Bulldog! |
