State Tournament Notes: 16 teams make it to Portland for the state tourney. The teams are divided into groups of four for pool play. The top two teams from each bracket make it to the final 8. Some people alleged that Sheldon took a dive in their playoff match against Marshfield in order to fall into an easier bracket. Here's what happened at state:

The two teams Marshfield lost to in pool play were 2-1 in the final day at state and finished 3rd (Jesuit) and 4th (Gresham). Obviously Marshfield was in a tough pool.

It turned out Sheldon really was in a weak pool. Sheldon didn't win the pool, but snuck into the the final eight by finishing second in their pool. The team Sheldon lost to in pool play went 1-2 in the final eight. Sheldon went 0-2 in the final eight. They got crushed by Central Catholic and then lost their first game in the losers bracket. The team Sheldon lost to in the loser's bracket lost their next game.

OSAA Bracket
