Beat Churchill 1-0 in 15 inning playoff game to clinch
second. Fell to South Eugene in game played immediately after the
Churchill game. South Eugene had two players who signed with the
Yankees. Marshfield's Herb Pryor pitched twelve innings of shutout
ball in the first game. Pryor went on to pitch for the University
of Nevada at Las Vegas. He pitched the first perfect game in Rebel
history. Pryor went on to pitch 40 complete collegiate games for
UNLV and as of 2005, he is third in all time NCAA complete games for a
career.
