2006  Qualifier for the State Chess Tournament
January 28th

On Saturday, January 28th, the Marshfield and Millicoma Chess Teams are sponsoring the Chess for Success Regional qualifier for the State Chess Tournament. It is again being held at the Boys and Girls Club in Coos Bay. Students from Coos and Curry counties can join individually or compete as a team. The cost is $16 per participant, though the cost increases significantly if the registration is not sent at least two weeks ahead of time. This is always an exciting and well-attended competition that chess-playing students look forward to. For more information, visit the Chess for Success website (http://www.chessforsuccess.org/cfs_info.html) or contact Mark Stephens (h:267-4510; w:269-6678).
